Next Steps

Thank you for submitting your payment! Here are some items that can be addressed while we are at work getting your account set up. If there are some items you want us to handle, just let us know. For example, happy to get you started with your business Facebook page, start a Twitter feed, or MailChimp Email Marketing account, just randomly by way of example. We will get these to the point where website integration can be set up if needed, in order to help the site progress more rapidly.

HOSTING SET UP

We will get to work setting up your hosting and get together basic documents for your account. During business days, please allow 24 hours or by close of business Monday or next day if ordering over the weekend or a holiday.

CONTENT PREPARATION

You will receive two questionnaires which are meant to help with the content creation process plus some optional content creation worksheets. We will either cover these together or you can write answers and submit these in lieu of an actual discussion, or it can be some combination of discussions by phone and email.

Additionally, if you are good with PowerPoint this can be a very useful method for gathering and organizing content visually. If the file submitted is of sufficient quality, we can take images as well as text from PowerPoint. For instance, in a new file, imagine each page as a page in your website. What will the page say? Beyond the graphics embedded in the actual website design itself, what type of images do you want to include alongside the page text (if any)? Then you might want to start the research process and include your photos and graphics, etc., alongside your draft text. Sometimes you may find it worthwhile to invest in some stock photos if you cannot take your own pictures.

Do you need a headshot for your site? Make sure to create a scenic, uncluttered background that matches your design color palette.

We can also pick up content from an existing online website that you own.

It is also fine to submit written text by email and to attach images to email for submission.

You are also welcome to mail in photos on a disk. Note that any scanning or retyping of text will require an additional payment based on the hourly fee of $35.

YOUR DOMAIN

In case you have an existing site in operation, we can start the process of website development prior to actually having the nameservers changed to reflect the new hosting address that we use as part of this service. You should still be able to preview your new site from a preview location online.

NEW DOMAIN

Do you need a new domain? Good idea to let us know if we don’t already and we will add it directly to your hosting account. Thereafter you can directly manage it or include it in managed services your WordPress SEO Hosting Service for an additional $35 per year.

We are happy to help you choose a good domain name or give input in case you are still considering your best domain.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Do you want to incorporate links between your social media profiles? If yes, you are welcome to submit those account pages that will be linked to from your website.

EMAIL MARKETING ACCOUNTS

Similarly, we can incorporate email marketing sign up forms directly into your website template or by individual page.

You can also let us know about email marketing when we check in with you after we have initially set up your account.

There is more to consider, but if you can begin to gather these items as applicable, that will help move the process along more quickly.
